Nala is a maltese / poodle mix living in Los Angeles. She is a love bug and full of energy. She loves to play with every human and doggie that she sees, even doggies who are much bigger than she is! Her favorite activities are playing with her toys (her favorite is her Kermit the Frog doll), basking in the Southern Californian sun, making new friends on at the doggy beach, and being spoiled by her mommy and daddy. She is very smart and knows how to sit, paw, give a high-five, and how to make everyone who sees her fall in love with her. She is truly a special baby girl! Click for more pictures…

This was a Valentine’s Day project by Japanese illustrator and designer Akihiro Mizuuchi, who created a series of templates based on Lego’s toy brick design. He then poured melted chocolate into these modular molds, popped them out upon cooling, and made his own set of edible Lego bricks! The Mobile Suit Gundam was one of the characters he had constructed from his chocolate blocks. For a while now, I have been on the hunt for a non-plastic, and preferably made of natural material pastry container. It isn’t so much to carry pies and pastries around town, but rather to have a nice-looking storage box on the kitchen countertop for the baked goods, away from pesky flies, dirt and perhaps grabby fingers. I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when I stumble upon Piebox. It’s no ordinary pie box, but a reusable wooden box handcrafted of unfinished pine in a simple modern design. Its sturdy square wooden frame also makes for easy stacking, which is a plus for…

The two week quarantine period is up for the Von Tussles, but they're still a little small to be running all over the main floor of the house, so I'm going to keep them contained in their room a little bit longer.I've got a baby gate in the door, so Charlene and Wylla can see the kittens and climb over it if they want to come and say hello.  The babies haven't attempted to scale the gate yet, so until they've figured that out, we'll keep the door open and let the big cats come and go as they please.  Sometimes Wylla jumps right over the gate.  Sometimes she just stands there…

    1 Sep 2014 | 9:00 pm
Liza and Vicky's Girls [3]Peter says: Liza and Vicky are Devon Rex cats owned by my friend Marie of Fennec's Cattery. They had litters four days apart -- by the same father -- and raised them together. Out of nine kittens total, four were girls. All the girls were tortoiseshell with silver as a ground colour, thanks to their father, Silverado, a black silver mackarel tabby from the U.S. Among all other good qualities he leaves to his offspring is that all his kittens seem to have a lot of hair on all parts of their bodies. That is not always the case with Devons. The girls were named Katie,…

The Downtown Disney is a promenade that has shops, cafes, restaurants, and other fun outdoor entertainment.  Popular shops include: World of Disney, LEGO store, D-Street, and many others. While in the Los Angeles area, one of the places I have been wanting to visit was of course, Disneyland.  I have only visited one Disney park and it was the Disneyworld in Florida (which was 10 years ago), and I still want to see the other Disneyland parks around the world (like Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo).  FYI, I’m a huge fan of Disney movies so going to these amusement parks are a must for me.

I have heard so much about Seville, Spain from some of my friends a while back.  They told me it is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Spain.  Seville is the largest city of the Andalusia Province.  Throughout its history it has been under different rulings.  Until today you can still see the Moorish and Roman influences. I’m glad to be able to visit this city even just for one day.  My friends were right, it is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have seen in Spain. Here are some things to see when you visit Seville: 1.  Plaza de Espana Plaza de Espana reminds…

The Jelly Belly factory is located in Fairfield, California.  Once you get reach the location, you will notice a Volkswagen beetle car with Jelly Belly decals all over.  Before heading to the factory, you will see the visitor center.  This place is where you can buy and sample different Jelly Bellies. Photography is only allowed at the visitor center, not in the factory.  However, the visitor center is quite adorable since it’s fully decorated in Jelly Belly theme. I have visited the factory before, and from what I remember you get to do a 40 minute walking tour and you get to see…

Anime Expo is an anime convention that is held annually during July.  This year we got a chance to visit this event only for 1 day which was Friday.  We got there quite early around 9:30 a.m. but the line to enter the exhibit hall was packed.  As soon as the exhibit hall opened everyone rushed inside to visit the different booths. I was excited to see so many kawaii booths at the exhibit hall like NHK World with Domo, Hello Kitty, Swan Kiss, Koko Kim, and many others. So without further adieu, here are some photos we took during the event: EXHIBIT HALL NHK BOOTH: KAWAII BOOTHS: FASHION…

The Antalya Toy Museum opened on 21 April 2011, with about 3000 toys from many countries such as Japan, USA, Germany, Turkey and Russia.  Some of the toys have were produced as early as 1870. During our walk along the old town coast line, we saw these figurines (photo above) and wondered what they were for.  And right next to it was the Toy Museum.  It was quite a hot day, so we stepped in to the museum and thankfully it has AC.  We decided to check it out, and cool ourselves too. And you can also take photos inside. The price to get into the museum was 6TL (about 3USD).  I think it…
